Op verzoek van diverse organisaties petitie vertaald naar het Engels.
Tijdens de Indie - Herdenkingen zijn vele hoogbekleders bij ICM & NICC een kijkje aan het nemen o.a. de man rechts van Willem Alexander. In de drukte vroeg ik deze mijnheer of hij ook de petitie wilde ondertekenen, en deze zei : " zou het graag willen tekenen maar ik mag / kan niet , ik zit in de Raad van State, en U moet in de politiek gaan ", ben er te oud voor, al oog je jonger, maar dat is een kwaal van de Indo.
Overigens in drie uren ruim 430 handtekeningen scoort met het team.

PAYMENT ON BASIS OF 'THE TREATY OF WASSENAAR 1966'
The Treaty of Wassenaar has been signed in 1966 by both Government of the Republique of Indonesia as well as the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Goal: The Government of Indonesia pays The Dutch State an amount of Dutch Florins 689.000.000,00 (Hfl. 689 million guilders) in order to compensate the Dutch Citizens, who consequently had to leave their house, goods and chattels in Indonesia, during the repatriation from 1947 to 1965. The Dutch Government however, has never paid out this amount to these rightholders.

The Dutch-Indonesian Community and all who feel affinity or are related to them,
ascertain
that The Dutch State has failed for already 50 years to comply the agreements, as established in the Treaty of Wassenaar in 1966 and never compensated the Dutch-Indonesian Citizens for the loss of property, bankaccounts and so on, due to the impact of the Acts of War during the Japanese Occupation, the Bersiap, the Dutch Police Actions and the effect of Linggarjati
and urge
the Dutch Government following the 'Dutch-Indian Matter' (pension and back pay), also to justify the Dutch-Indonesian Community by implementation of the agreements according to the Treaty of Wassenaar 1966, or opens negotiations with the Team of Lawyers in Jakarta and Action Committee ToW-66, of which the latter will be represented by the Team, in and out of court, with the intention to proceed steps that will lead to a satisfactory solution for all claimants.
